"Caring for orphans as though they were you."

Orphan Situation

Poverty, border unrest, the drug trade and disease are the main reasons why so many children are homeless and in need of our care in Thailand.

ICC History

This is a Children's Country Village located north of Chiangmai, in northern Thailand. The orphan center was established in 1992 and is named after an Australian girl who was killed in an accident during the time the Vision for Life group from Australia was raising funds for elementary school facilities to care for the ICC orphans in Thailand.

Three homes were completed and 30 children were transferred from dormitory-type facilities in October, 1996.

Since then other homes, an office, chapel, industry buildings, orchards and gardens have been established.

The grounds have been developed for beauty and productivity with a teak plantation, orchards and vegetable gardens.

Cottage craft micro industries provide vocational training for the children. A small cleaning product industry has begun to help with operational funding and also to teach the children business skills.

This year plans are underway to develop an irrigation system using solar power for the agricultural program in the dry season.
