Poverty and disease are the main reasons why so many children are homeless and in need of our care in Sri Lanka.

ICC History

A request to help poverty stricken children in Sri Lanka with educational needs came to ICC in late 1996.

In 1997 ICC commenced operations in rented homes just outside of Colombo.

ICC commenced the development of a Children’s Country Home Campus in 1999 on property at Mailapitaya, near Kandy. The children are now located on this campus, consisting of three cottage homes, a staff flat (apartment), gardens and play areas.
