Poverty and disease are the main reasons why so many children are homeless and in need of our care in India.

ICC History

In 1996 Mrs Lilly Kaligithi left her home in Eugene, Oregon USA, and worked to establish a children's home in India. Unable to find the ideal location, she went to her childhood home and remodeled it to begin caring for orphaned and abandoned children.

ICC served as an umbrella organisation to receive and process funds for her. In January 1997, ICC integrated her orphan home as a regular part of ICC. Soon Lilly needed a second home and rented a house nearby.

In early 1999 ICC purchased property and began the construction of three homes.

As of January 2005, there are six children’s homes, a warehouse and garages and an administration centre. Adjoining land has been purchased for agricultural purposes.
