Welcome to 'Light of Hope Children's Village' Cambodia

"Caring for orphans as though they were you."

Industry and Vocational Training enables orphans to become self sufficient and contributing citizens.

Micro-industries
Many of the children are involved in micro-industries. These industries are a form of income generation for the centre. Depending on their age and interests, the children are able to take part in industries such as: hairdressing, sewing, craft and food production.

Vocational Training
Vocational training is an important aspect of the ICC program. Skilled staff and volunteers train the children in many areas such as sewing, brick making, mechanics, building, agriculture, literacy and healthcare; and chicken industries.

Vocational training equips children with life long skills. This enables them to become independent and contributing citizens in the community they become a part of after leaving the ICC centre.

Some of the older children were also able to learn basic dentistry skills from a visiting group of volunteer dentists at the end of 2004.

Training projects like these need sponsors.
